Indeed it provides a dualcarriageway access to junction 16 of the M4 (about 28.5 miles). In the pposite direction is the M5 (junction 11A), which connects the south west and the Midlands. Intercity trains to London Paddington can be taken from Cheltenham Spa and takes 127 mins. Trains also go from Kemble and Kingham.
The village of Cowley is in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and is principally made up of period cottages and centred around Cowley Manor, a well known Hotel and Spa. The countryside surrounding the village provides a wonderful selection of walks and rides in glorious Cotswold countryside.
The local regency town of Cheltenham, famous for its grand town houses and elegant garden squares, offers fantastic shopping with the promenade central to its atmosphere. The historic market town of Cirencester lies within easy striking distance, providing a very good range of shops and services.
Good local schools include Cheltenham College, Cheltenham Ladies College, Dean Close, Rendcomb College, Westonbirt, as well as Beaudesert Park and Hatherop Castle Prep schools. Highly regarded nursery schools can be found in Cheltenham and Cirencester respectively.
